What Happened: On Monday, Steve Bannon, a former adviser and longtime ally of former President Trump, surrendered to federal authorities to face his contempt charges. Last Friday, a Federal Grand Jury charged Bannon with one count for his failure to appear before a House Jan. 6 select committee and with another count for refusing to produce requested documents.
