What Happened:

• On Tuesday, a strong 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit central Croatia resulting in at least 1 death and at least 20 injured.

• The quake caused widespread damage in the small town of Petrinja causing several buildings to collapse.

• Said Petrinja Mayor Darinko Dumbovic, "My town has been completely destroyed. We have dead children. This is like Hiroshima - half of the city no longer exists."

• Added Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, "The biggest part of central Petrinja is in a red zone, which means that most of the buildings are not usable."

• The army and nearby hotels are providing shelter to those who lost their homes.
