751,000 More Americans Filed for Unemployment Benefits Last Week

What Happened:
According to a report released by the Labor Department on Thursday, an additional 751,000 Americans claimed first-time jobless benefits last week.
Although that is down from the previous week of new claims, it is a little higher than economists had expected.
Continued jobless claims stood at 7.3 million, down by around half a million from the previous week. While still substantial, this is a slower decline than previous weeks leading analysts to be concerned whether the job market recovery is slowing down.
The new jobs report comes out on Friday and analysts expect that 600,000 jobs will have been added in October.
