What Happened:

• According to a report released by the Labor Department on Thursday, 847,000 more Americans claimed first-time jobless benefits over the last week, a 67,000 decrease from the week before.

• Continued jobless claims fell to 4.8 million, down around 200,000 from the previous week. Economists are hopeful that the vaccine rollout and recent Covid Relief Bill are helping steady the recovery.

• President Biden proposed an additional $1.9 Trillion Covid Relief Plan, however, it seems unlikely that it will pass "as is" in Congress as Senate Republicans are balking at the size of the bill.
