Appeals Court Delays Release of Trump's Jan. 6 Records
On Thursday, a Federal Appeals Courts temporarily blocked the release of Trump Administration White House records to the House committee investigating the event.
Trump's attorneys sought to block the release of the records claiming that the House investigators were seeking some documents that were unrelated to the Jan. 6 riot and claiming "executive privilege."
The injunction administered by the Appeals Court will only temporarily bar the release of the records until the end of this month.
The stay will give the court additional time to consider arguments from both sides in the case.
