Biden Announces That The US Will Have Enough Vaccines For All Adults By The End Of May
Updated: Mar 4, 2021
On Tuesday, President Biden announced that the United States will have enough COVID-19 vaccines for all adults by the end of May. This accelerates the original projected timeline by two months. The new timeline does not guarantee that all adults will have received their shots by May 31, as distribution is still a factor.
The accelerated timeline comes shortly after the FDA approved the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for emergency use.
Biden also said he would direct states to prioritize teachers in their vaccination rollouts so that classrooms could reopen as soon as possible.
Biden cautioned Americans to remain vigilant in practicing proper safety measures and added “There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”
