Biden Lifts Transgender Military Ban Imposed By Trump
President Biden is signing an order to lift the transgender military ban imposed by former president Trump.
The executive order states that "all Americans who are qualified to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States should be able to serve."
Said the White House in a statement, Biden "believes that gender identity should not be a bar to military service, and that America’s strength is found in its diversity."
LGBTQ activists have criticized the Trump ban since it was first imposed in July 2017.
