Biden Sends Federal Aid to NY, NJ After Floods Kill 50+
What Happened:
On Monday, President Biden approved major disaster federal aid for five New York counties and six New Jersey counties that were damaged by disastrous flooding from Hurricane Ida last week.
At least 50 people died last week as record rainfall overwhelmed the drainage systems and led to dangerous flooding in several NY and NJ counties.
President Biden plans to visit NY and NJ on Tuesday to view the damage caused by Hurricane Ida.
