California Wildfires Have Now Burned More Than 4 Million Acres


What's Happening:

  • California wildfires have now burned more than 4 million acres in 2020, this is more than double the previous record for the most land burned in a single year in California.

  • New evacuations have been ordered in Napa County where the fires are destroying wine country.

  • More than 16,500 firefighters were battling 23 major wildfires throughout the states last night.

  • In total, there have been over 8,200 wildfires in California this year and the fire season is far from over.
