CDC Tells States to Prepare for a Covid-19 Vaccine Late October

What Happened:
The US Center for Disease Control told health officials to prepare for the distribution of a Covid-19 vaccine possibly as soon as late October.
The CDC has confirmed that these documents were sent to city and state health officials.
The documents prioritize distribution of the vaccine to certain populations first, such as health care professionals, essential workers, etc.
The documents do not necessarily mean a vaccine will be available by late October as preparation is necessary either way.
There are currently 3 vaccines going through Phase 3 trials in the US, the vaccines developed by Moderna, Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
