China & India Accuse Each Other of Firing Shots at Border
On Tuesday, China and India accused each other of provocative military actions and of firing shots along their disputed border.
China accused Indian forces of crossing over into their territory and firing warning shots. India denied this and said Chinese forces surrounded one of their posts and fired warning shots in a "great provocation."
According to China, this would be the first exchange of fire between the two countries in over 45 years.
The two nuclear-armed countries have been disputing the 3,500 kilometer border in the Ladakh region since May, leading to a strained relationship.
