Clash Between Trump Supporters and Protesters in Portland Leads to 1 Death
One person was shot in the chest and died in Portland, Oregon late Saturday night when a violent clash erupted between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters.
The victim was a white male wearing a "Patriot Prayer" hat. The "Patriot Prayer" group is a right wing group that has already had several skirmishes with protesters in Portland.
Homicide detectives are working to gather evidence and apprehend the shooter. Said Police Chief Chuck Lovell, "This violence is completely unacceptable and we are working diligently to find and apprehend the individual or individuals responsible.”

According to the police, protesters gathered downtown after the shooting resulting in several skirmishes, some vandalism and ten arrests.
Trump issued several tweets Sunday morning condemning Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and one in support of his supporters calling them "Great Patriots" together with a video of them driving into Portland to confront protesters.
Portland has been the site of nightly protests for over 90 days since the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
