The number of Covid-19 cases in the US has surpassed 5 million and 160,000+ deaths. Despite this new milestone, the Coronavirus "curve" continues to seem to be on a downtrend nationally. (source Johns Hopkins)
As schools reopen, more than 97,000 children in the US have tested positive for Coronavirus over the last 2 weeks of July.
US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar met with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen on Monday for the highest level meeting between Washington and Taiwan in decades. Taiwan's response to the Coronavirus pandemic has been well regarded worldwide with only 480 cases and 7 deaths in a population of 23 million people.
China has already condemned the meeting as it considers the island to be a part of sovereign China under the "One-China" principle.
