Covid Vaccines for Military Will Be Mandatory Under New Plan

What Happened:
In a new plan announced by the Pentagon on Monday, military personnel will be required to get the Covid-19 vaccine starting on Sept. 15th.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the deadline could be pushed up if one of the vaccines gets final FDA approval before that date.
Said Austin, “To defend this Nation, we need a healthy and ready force.”
In a statement on Monday, President Biden said he strongly supports Austin’s plan.
