Electoral College Confirms Joe Biden as President-Elect

What’s Happening:

On Monday, Presidential electors representing the Electoral College cast their votes and reached the 270 vote threshold to confirm Joe Biden as President-Elect.
The results will now be sent to Washington DC and tallied during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6.
The votes of the Electoral College have drawn more attention this year because President Trump refuses to concede the election and continues to make claims of voter fraud. So far these claims have been almost universally dismissed by the courts.
In the expected final tally, Biden should win 306 electoral votes and Trump should win 232 votes. 270 votes are required to win the election.
