Gender Reveal Party Starts Massive Wildfire in California

What Happened:

• A "smoke generating pyrotechnic device" used at a gender reveal party on Saturday started a massive wildfire that has grown to over 7,000 acres.

• The fire started in the El Dorado Ranch Park and has spread north to the Yucaipa Ridge.

• Evacuations have been ordered for Oak Glen, Yucaipa Ridge, Mountain Home Village and Forest Falls.

• So far, no charges have been filed.

• Multiple wildfires have been burning throughout California for several weeks now. Dry conditions, heat waves and lightning storms have contributed to the formation of these wildfires.
