GOP-led Senate Committee Releases Report on Hunter Biden

What Happened:

• The GOP-led Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees released a report on Wednesday detailing their investigation into Hunter Biden and his role on the board of the Ukrainian natural gas firm, Burisma.

• The report states that Hunter's position in Burisma was "problematic" and that he “formed significant and consistent financial relationships” with the founder of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky.

• The report also alleges "potential criminal activity" based on "transactions...between Hunter Biden, his family, and his associates with Ukrainian, Russian, Kazakh and Chinese nationals.”

• Hunter Biden is the son of Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden. Hunter Biden's role in Burisma has come under investigation after President Trump brought it up multiple times during Trump's impeachment last year.

• Joe and Hunter Biden have denied any wrongdoing and say the investigation is purely politically motivated.
