House Delivers Article of Impeachment Against Trump to Senate

What’s Happening:

On Monday, the House of Representatives delivered the article of impeachment for Trump's alleged incitement of an insurrection to the Senate.
Normally, this would initiate the Senate impeachment trial, however, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) announced late last Friday that he had reached an agreement with Republicans to start the trial the week of February 8. This will allow Trump's legal team more time to prepare for the trial.
Trump is the only president to have been impeached twice.
