House Removes Marjorie Taylor Greene From Committees
On Thursday, House Representatives voted to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from the Education & Labor and Budget committees because of the incendiary and violent conspiracy theories she promoted in interviews and online.
The House voted mostly along party lines with a 230-199 vote. Nearly all Republicans voted against removing her from the committees, however, none defended her history of incendiary posts and interviews.
Greene has been criticized for claiming that 9-11 and past school shootings were not real and for her support of QAnon conspiracy theories such as Jewish Space Lasers starting the wildfires in the West.
Today, in an attempt to defend herself, Greene backpedaled and said she believes that 9-11 and past school shootings were real and no longer believes in QAnon conspiracy theories.
