House Speaker Pelosi Says Biden Shouldn't Debate Trump
What was Said:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) said on Thursday that Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden should cancel his three scheduled debates with President Trump saying "I don't think that there should be any debates. I do not think that the president of the United States has comported himself in a way that anybody has any association with truth, evidence, data and facts. I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States.”
Said House Speaker Pelosi, "I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him."
Pelosi added that Trump would "belittle what the debated are supposed to be about" and engage in "skullduggery."
Biden has said he's still going forward with the debates despite Pelosi's advice: "I'm going to debate him. Now I know for certain ...I'm going to be a fact checker on the floor while I'm debating him...I think everybody knows this man has a somewhat pathological tendency not to tell the truth."
