Leaders of North Korea and China Wish to Strengthen Relationship
On Sunday, North Korea and China celebrated the 60th Anniversary of their countries' defense treaty.
The leaders of each country expressed interest in strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said, North Korea wishes to "ceaselessly develop the friendly and cooperative relations” between the two countries.
Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed similar sentiments saying, "I wish to ... lead bilateral relations to unceasingly rise to new levels to the benefit of the two countries and their peoples."
China remains North Korea's largest and strongest ally and actually fought alongside North Korea during the Korean War.
