Looting in downtown Chicago after police-involved gunfire

What Happened:
Sunday afternoon, police responded to a report of a man with a gun in the Englewood area.
According to police spokesman, Tom Ahem, police took fire from the individual while pursuing him on foot. Officers returned fire and the man was struck and taken to a local hospital.
Police say large groups started to gather on Michigan Avenue shortly after midnight. These groups vandalized and looted retail businesses on Michigan Avenue overnight.
It is still unclear if the unrest was related to the officer-involved shooting in Chicago on Sunday earlier in the day, but that is the presumption.
Bus and Train Service in downtown Chicago was suspended at police request.
