Most Senate Republicans Vote Against Trump Impeachment Trial

What Happened:
On Tuesday, all but five Senate Republicans voted to dismiss the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump. The final tally was 55-45 in favor of moving forward with the trial.
The article of impeachment, which passed in the House and was presented to the Senate on Monday, charges Trump with "incitement of [an] insurrection" after the deadly Capitol Riot on January 6.
Republicans did not succeed in dismissing the trial, which is set to start on Feb 8th, however, today's vote is a sign that a Trump conviction is highly unlikely.
Trump is the first president to have been impeached twice and the only president to go through an impeachment trial after being out of office.
