Nuclear Deal Talks Resume with Iran

What Happened:

Nuclear deal talks to limit Iran's enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions have resumed.
Since former President Trump left the Nuclear Deal in 2018, Iran has been enriching small amounts of uranium and its stockpile now exceeds the original agreement's limits.
President Biden has said that the US is willing to re-enter the deal, however, current negotiations in Vienna do not include US officials.
Iranian nuclear negotiator, Ali Bagheri, made it clear on Tuesday that the previous six rounds of talks with EU representatives are still up for negotiation.
Iran is trying to get a guarantee from the US that it will not impose new sanctions or previous sanctions should the deal go through. Iran also maintains that its nuclear program is peaceful and that they are not pursuing nuclear weapons development. US intelligence agencies and international inspectors say this has not always been the case.
