Police Shooting of Jacob Blake Leads to Protests

What Happened:
There were multiple protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin last night after the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Blake, unarmed, was shot in the back seven times at close range by a police officer on Sunday when he tried to enter his SUV. According to his attorney, Blake’s 3 children were in the car when he was shot.
The protests turned violent and several buildings and cars were set on fire overnight.
The shooting comes during a period of public outcry over police violence following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
Blake is still in the hospital and is currently paralyzed from the waist down according to his father. Blake's attorney Crump says "it will take a miracle" for Blake to ever walk again.
The US Justice Dept. and FBI agents are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Dept. of Kenosha County has issued a curfew of 8PM for public safety and the Wisconsin Governor has declared a state of emergency and increased the National Guard presence.
Blake's parents have called for calm and an end to the violent protests. Said Blake's mother, "As I was riding through here, this city, I noticed a lot of damage and it doesn't reflect my son...So I'm really asking, and encouraging everyone in Wisconsin and abroad to take a moment and examine your heart. As I pray for my son's healing ... I also have been praying even before this for the healing of our country."
