“Initial reports indicate the suspect produced a firearm, threatening the lives of law enforcement officers." - U.S. Marshals Service
According to a statement from the U.S. Marshals Service, “Initial reports indicate the suspect produced a firearm, threatening the lives of law enforcement officers. Task force members responded to the threat and struck the suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Reinoehl was the prime suspect in the killing of Aaron “Jay” Danielson who was shot in the chest last Saturday night when a violent clash erupted between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters in Portland. Danielson was a member of the right-wing "Patriot Prayer" group which had already engaged in several skirmishes with protesters in Portland.
