SC Justice Alito Orders PA to Segregate Votes Received After Election Day
On Friday, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito issued an order mandating that all Pennsylvania ballots received after 8 PM on Election Day be segregated and secured and that all of these ballots "if counted, be counted separately."
The order is redundant as the Secretary of State of Pennsylvania had already issued the same guidelines because of the pending petition before the Supreme Court.
The GOP is seeking to invalidate votes received after 8 PM on Election Day by appealing a Supreme Court of Pennsylvania ruling that extended the deadline to receive ballots to Friday at 5 PM, after the election.
Alito ordered the opposing parties to file a response by 2 PM Saturday.
