Senate Judiciary Committee Advances Amy Coney Barrett Nomination
On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12-0 to advanced the Supreme Court nomination for Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
Only Republican committee members voted as the ten Democratic Senators on the committee boycotted the vote and placed pictures of citizens dependent on the Affordable Care Act in their seats.
The full Senate confirmation vote for Amy Coney Barrett will now occur on Monday.
Wrote Senate Democrats in a statement, "This has been a sham process from the beginning. Amidst a global pandemic and ongoing election, Republicans are rushing to confirm a Supreme Court Justice to take away health care from millions..."
