Sriwijaya Air Flight Black Boxes Located - No Survivors


What Happened:

  • According to officials, the black boxes and remains for a Sriwijaya Air flight that crashed on Saturday have been located.

  • The flight lost contact with air traffic control shortly after taking off from Jakarta. So far, investigators do not know the reason for the crash, however, nearby witnesses say they heard and saw an explosion.

  • There were 62 people on board the flight, all Indonesians. Investigators believe there is little hope of any survivors.
