Supreme Court Sides With College Athletes vs. NCAA

What Happened:

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of former college athletes who were challenging the NCAA's rules about how college players can be compensated.
In the ruling, the Court agreed with a lower court that the NCAA was violating antitrust law by limiting the education-related benefits that schools are allowed to provide to student athletes. The ruling will now allow schools to provide unlimited compensation to their athletes as long as it is related to their education in some manner.
While this does not open the door to endorsements quite yet, it does provide a stepping stone for future legal challenges to the NCAA's business model.
