Top Iranian Nuclear Scientist Assassinated
According to Iranian State television, one of Iran's top nuclear scientists, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated in an attack near Tehran.
Witnesses are reported to have heard an explosion and machine gun fire.
Fakhrizadeh led Iran’s “Amad” program, a program Israel and several Western powers said was actually a military operation to build a nuke. The U.N. said the program ended in the early 2000s.
