Trump Supporters Rally Turns Violent Overnight - 20 Arrested
Updated: Nov 16, 2020
The Pro-Trump "Million MAGA March" Rally devolved into violence Saturday afternoon as Anti-Trump protesters and Trump supporters clashed.
At least 20 people were arrested by the police as they broke up skirmishes and tried to keep the opposing groups separated.
The rally was mostly peaceful during the day with thousands of Trump supporters gathered in Washington DC. Supporters came out urging Trump to not concede the election and echoing the President's claims of widespread voter fraud.
Trump drove by the event in his motorcade waving to supporters and smiling.
The Trump campaign has pursued legal action in multiple states challenging the outcome of the election, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Michigan. Thus far, little evidence of voter fraud has actually been presented in the courts resulting in several of the lawsuits being dismissed for "lack of evidence." On Friday, more than a half dozen suits in Pennsylvania and Nevada were dismissed.
The Trump campaign says that it will be presenting much more evidence in some of the upcoming pending lawsuits.
On Sunday, Trump tweeted about the election results saying, "He won because the Election was Rigged...I concede NOTHING."
