Trump to Nominate Amy Coney Barrett for Supreme Court

What's Happening:
Multiple sources confirm that Trump will nominate conservative appeals court Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court on Saturday afternoon.
Barrett has been the leading choice throughout the week.
Senate Republicans have stated that they already have the votes to confirm any nomination and intend to do so quickly. Specifically, before the November election.
Earlier this week, President Trump said that the November Presidential Election might well be decided by the Supreme Court, especially if he has doubt to the validity of the outcome and that it was very important to confirm the nomination as soon as possible.
Said Trump, “I think this will end up in the Supreme Court. And I think it's very important that we have nine justices.”
Democrats continue to oppose the fast-tracked nomination saying that the position should only be filled after the election in November by the President-elect.
