Wisconsin Completes Partial Recount - Biden Still Ahead
On Sunday, Wisconsin completed a partial recount in Dane County and Milwaukee County. The recount for Dane County showed a 45 vote gain for Trump and the recount for Milwaukee County showed a 132 vote gain for Biden.
The recount in Milwaukee County was paid for by Trump but changed very little in the overall results. With Biden's winning margin of about 20,600, he gained an additional 87 votes after the recount.
Trump has already said he plans to challenge the outcome. In a tweet, President Trump said, "The Wisconsin recount is not about finding mistakes in the count, it is about finding people who have voted illegally, and that case will be brought after the recount is over...We have found many illegal votes. Stay tuned!"
Wisconsin must certify the election results by Tuesday to meet the state deadline.
